Bill
Glatt, MD, is
affectionately known as the “Hugging Doc.”
He currently is the Medical Director of the
Chemical Dependency Services at
Mills-Peninsula Hospital, having served in
this role since 1981. He has written and
lectured on the “Healing Power of Love” and
“Hugging and the Immune System.” Dr. Glatt
was Chairman of the Department of Internal
Medicine at Mills-Peninsula Hospital for
four years. He is an active member of the
ASAM Public Policy Committee. ASAM
Certified: 1986. ASAM Recertified: 1996.
Elected a Fellow of the American Society of
Addiction Medicine: 2001.
Bert
Solomon, MD is the
founding physician of
our medical practice.
Aside from being
certified in Internal
Medicine and Addiction
Medicine, Bert was
Chairman of the
Department of Internal
Medicine and Chief of
Staff at Mills-Peninsula
Hospitals in
Burlingame. ASAM
certified: 1991.
Irv Stern, MD
combines his practice of
Internal Medicine and
Addiction Medicine in
the same balance as his
love and preservation of
our planet.
He is our
ecological and environmental leader. He
practices the active life style that he
recommends, enjoying day hiking,
backpacking and cross-country skiing. ASAM certified: 1991.
Daniel
Glatt, MD MPH, is board certified in
Internal Medicine in 1996 and recertified in
2008. He was certified in Addiction
Medicine in 2001 by ASAM. He served seven years on
active duty as a physician in the U.S. Navy
from 1992-1999. He completed two years of
specialty training in Addiction Medicine at
the San Francisco VA Medical Center. In
addition to his medical degree, from New
York Medical College, he earned a Masters in
Public Health (MPH) from Harvard
University. ASAM certified: 2001.
Ann
Strain, P.A.C. our Physician
Assistant, (P.A.), is referred to as
“Dr. Ann” by many of our patients. She
has worked in our office since
completing her P.A. training at Stanford
University in 1994. In addition to
treating patients in Internal Medicine,
she has a special interest in treating
patients with Eating Disorders. (SF Chronicle). She
is bilingual in Spanish and does most of
the well-women exams in our office.

Joan is our Office Manager and has been with us since 1982.
Eleanor, Hazel, Cicley, Michelle and Heidi round out the
rest of our staff. Several of our staff-members are bilingual
in Spanish. They are quite experienced and adept at handling
all of the emergencies, urgencies and routine care of a busy
Internal Medicine and Addiction Medicine Practice.
